SHINE Soup Kitchen to Provide Meals to The Opportunity Village

EASLEY, SC–(September 15, 2016) SHINE Soup Kitchen partners with The Dream Center of Pickens County to provide meals to The Opportunity Village, a one-of-a-kind homeless shelter program.

SHINE Soup Kitchen, the only soup kitchen in Pickens County, currently serves over 20,000 meals annually.

“We are excited about this new partnership which will allow us to reach even more of our community who otherwise would go hungry,” says Kevin Lovell, SHINE Soup Kitchen board chairman.

Using a “tiny house” model, the Village provides 23 tiny living units and 10 transitional houses to shelter homeless individuals and families in Pickens County, SC.

Now is a great time for you or your church group/civic group to get involved with SHINE.
