Shine was founded in 2004 by Judy Burns with a desire to Stop Hunger in Easley. 

Today, we serve approximately 150 of our less fortunate neighbors Monday through Friday and approximately 22,000 meals annually. Meals are offered to anyone who comes through the door, no questions asked. For some, it is the only meal they will receive on any given day; for others, the meals help alleviate difficult decisions, such as whether to pay the energy bill or purchase groceries.

Over 300 volunteers offer their time and energy into preparing and serving the meals.

The majority of our food donations are from local churches.
